Documentation for Exports
The following documents are mandatory to plan successful shipment of goods from India to overseas buyers:
- Invoice
- Packing List
- GRI form duly signed by Exporter
- Copy of the Letter of Credit
- Purchase Order
- Agency Certification (if reqd)
Once the vessel is loaded, Seastar sends a Post Shipment / Pre-alert message to the customer, along with a copy of the Bill of Lading. As mentioned earlier, a 'content verification' report is sent soon after the cargo has been inspected and verified at the warehouse, prior to stuffing.
Documentation for Imports
The following documents are necessary to plan successful shipment of goods to India:
- Invoice in original Attested by Bank
- Packing list Original
- Bill of Lading Original Attested By The Bank & Importer.
- Purchase Order
- Letter of Credit
- Import and Export Code No. Alloted by Jdgt.
- Bill of Exchange
- Acceptance of Order
- Insurance Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- AEPC Certificate if it is Hangers.
- Import Licence (if the Item requires Licence)
- Write-up
- Catalogue
- Literature (If it is Chemical Item)
- Chemical Analysis Certificate if it is Steel Item.
- Authorization Letter.
